Photo shoot

I took the rubber duckie from my bathroom for a walk around snow-ridden Morningside Heights. I wanted to capture these mundane pieces of streetlife - the trash can, the fence post, the electrical box etc. - and recontextualize them by placing this silly, happy little duck in the scene. It's a small detail in each photo but the environment takes on a slightly new meaning once this repetitive figure is identified. Suddenly the mundane isn't so serious anymore.
